I absolutely love dressing up, teasing my hair a little, and putting on a face full of makeup. Being all dolled up boosts my confidence and just makes me feel more put together throughout the day. I’ve been experimenting with different products lately and I’ve finally found a combination that I really like.
LimeLife by Alcone Calm Balm: I’ve been using this as a moisturizer. It’s perfect for the summertime because it has aloe in it and it supper gentle and lightweight. I may switch it up some during the winter, but this is the best moisturizer for my skin during the summer.
I’m currently not using a primer because I haven’t found one that I’m in love with. My Ipsy bag this month has a Mac primer that I can’t wait to try. I will definitely do a post on that once it’s here.
Maybelline FIT ME Dewy +Smooth Foundation in 120 Classic Ivory: I’ve also tried the Matte + Poreless finish, but it dries my face out. I top my foundation with powder so the Dewy + Smooth works better for me. It’s definitely a heavier foundation, but the coverage is worth it.
NYX Total Control Drop Foundation in Porcelain: This is a lighter shade and used to highlight. I tried using this for an allover foundation, but again, my skin is too dry. However I do like how light it is paired with the heavier Maybelline.
NYX Pro Total Control Drop Foundation Brush: I use this to apply both liquids. I’ve found that I like the evenness of the brush finish compared to other methods of application. I do find that I need to clean the brush often though.
Essence Satin Touch Blush in Satin Coral 10
Essence Luminous Matt Bronzing Powder
ESSENCE All About Matt! Fixing Compact Powder: There is no color to this, just a good matt finish that keeps your make up in place and blends everything.
ESSENCE Kabuki Brush
NYX Slim Lip Pencil in Mauve to line my lips. This is the perfect shade and really good lip liner if you want to try another color.
E.L.F. Matte Lip Color in Tea Rose to fill the lips. Top with a gloss or leave matte.
E.L.F. Baked Highlighter and Bronzer: I use my finger to put the highlighter just under my brow and inner corner of my eye moving towards the center of my eye. I also put this on my cheek bones, down the bridge of my nose, and Cupid’s bow. I love that one product can be used for so much.
SLMISSGLAM N15 Eye Shadow Brush from my Ispy bag and a darker shade of brown from different palettes to create V in the outer corner of my eyes. I use the Glamour Dolls Romantic Rose Blending Brush also from my Ipsy Bag to blend the darker brown into my crease and the highlighter on my inner lid.
White eye liner in my waterline. I think this helps open my eyes up.
E.L.F. Liquid Eyeliner on my top lash line.
Touch in Sol Style Sepia Gen-Liner: I sweep this under my bottom lash line from the outer corner towards my inner corner stopping about halfway.
Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara: BEST. MASCARA. EVER. I use this over (or paired with) IT Cosmetics and Urban Decay most days.
I’m in no way a professional with makeup. In fact I see tons of girls in my news feed every day that are much more qualified to write a makeup post. However these are all cheap products that I have found and really like for a day to day look! Leave a comment with your favorite makeup products!
** I added affiliate links to the products that could be found on amazon for easy access. As always, these are products that I actually use.
